Extratime Render Retarder is a chemical additive for use with sand and cement render. The additive slows the curing process of the render by slowing the chemical crystal formation that causes the it to set or harden. Extratime is recommended for moderate lengthening of sand and cement render setting times. Extratime Render Retarder will lengthen the setting time by around 60 minutes depending on the ambient temperature, relative humidity of the environment and the surface being rendered.
Extratime Render Retarder has been developed by a plasterer with over 20 years experience in the trade to allow more time to complete larger areas. It is ideal for very large projects.

Extratime Render Retarder is only suitable for sand and cement renders, it cannot be used with premixed Monocouche renders such as K-Rend etc. It helps make rendering easier especially when working on large areas. It simply takes the pressure off.

WHAT CAN EXTRATIME BE USED WITH?
Extratime is suitable for use with sand and cement render.
It is NOT suitable for use with premixed Monocouche renders such as K-Rend.
WARNINGS

Do not add directly to the sand and cement mix.

Avoid direct contact with eyes and skin.

Wear eye protection, protective gloves, long-sleeved clothing and trousers to prevent direct contact.

If eye contact occurs, immediately flush thoroughly with water for 30 minutes and seek immediate medical advice.

Wash thoroughly with soap and water after use.

Do not ingest. If ingested, seek medical advice immediately.

Once opened use within 48 hours.

HOW LONG DOES EXTRATIME EXTEND THE SETTING TIME?
Extratime is recommended for moderate lengthening of render setting times. Extratime Render Retarder will lengthen the setting time by around 60 minutes depending on the ambient temperature and relative humidity of the environment and the surface suction.
DOES EXTRATIME AFFECT THE RENDER?
Extratime has been extensively tested and it does not affect the render mix or finished substrate in any detrimental way. Full curing time will be extended to 24-48 hours.
DOES THE RENDER NEED TO BE APPLIED IN A DIFFERENT WAY?
No. Once Extratime is added, mix and apply the renderusing exactly the same method as normal render.
